[Awards] Anime of the Year... 2018!

I realized I never made an AotY post for 2018 lol, let's fix that! Let's cut out everything I saw that isn't notable enough to talk about, aka I don't remember anything about them! After the Rain I don't really wanna talk about this show.   It was a romance story about a girl who was something like 17 who fell in love with an older man, and as SCANDALOUS as that sounds the show was actually pretty boring. Even a twitter kid who flips their(emphasis on "their" if you catch my drift) shit at "problematic age gaps" would be pretty stone faced about this one. Seriously I remember jack shit about it other than that it probably fucks about for most of it's episodes and then definitely has a big anti-climax. Don't recommend.    Angels of Death This is an anime adaptation of an RPGmaker game of the same name, which I intuited within a couple episodes without any confirmation. I made the observation that it "feels like the kind of story and

Greetings, it is time once again. I have emerged from my mysterious and dank cave, as I do once every year, to bring you my thoughts on the Japanese Animations I have viewed whilst holed up in the deepest depths of the earth. Please do not speak to me, for I am not used to human contact. As always I watched a lot of anime this year, I'm not gonna go over all of them but mention the most notable ones giving them awards, and then announce the top 3 anime of the year. Are you ready? Here we go! Let's PAAAARTY! PUT YA GUNS ON! First and foremost, the easiest one: Best Still Airing Show: Chihayafuru Season 3 Do I need to explain it? It's Chihayafuru! A great series that I started watching I believe early this year, or maybe late last year, in preparation for this 3rd season. Chihayafuru is a josei(a series meant for adult women) about a girl named Chihaya trying to become the Queen of Karuta and lead her Karuta team to victory. What's Karuta? Well, technically,

It's time! For the Anime! Of! The Year! Po! St! Unlike last year, this year didn't put out any shows that became one of my top 10(last year was Jojo Part 4 which is currently on my top 10), but there were still a lot of good shows, a lot of surprisingly good shows, a lot of surprisingly bad shows, and a whole lot of just plain shit! Let's get to it shall we ROLL IT Worst Second Season: Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this before but IBO seriously dropped the ball part way through season 2. I really wish they'd stopped at season 1. I really like that one, it was super good, I put Mikazuki on my favorite characters list. It was a really, good, show. And IBO 2 isn't. It's dumb, and bad, and is very "we needed a plot cuz we got greenlit for season 2". I don't like it, I stopped watching it, I'd rather watch Thunderbolt, and that one has a guy who drums in the cockpit of his mobile suit.
