EDIT: If you read this review and think "oh I wanna read it now", and you haven't heard that the author died, the author died. I really highly doubt the story is actually going to concluded.  EDIT 2: Nevermind, his best friend and fellow mangaka is now at the helm. New chapters are a lot shorter than before, and this is due to the fact he has stated he will only adapt what was expressly written down or told to him by Miura and he will not attempt to flesh anything out, even saying he won't do things he doesn't remember clear enough. This will likely lead to a somewhat dissatisfying conclusion as the detail and fleshing out of things is what makes it so good, but still. I would say yes, do read it, just keep in mind that near the end of the Fantasia arc, you'll need to temper your expectations and only read on if you want to see this finally conclude. I'm going to review the Railgun manga. Since I plan on reviewing the anime as well, I'll just focus on the art and such for this. Fuyukawa Motoi's artwork is great. It's got a wonderful style that seems to mix old and new styles of anime/manga together. Some of the drawings look like something from an early 2000s Gainax anime(like FLCL only less silly) and I wish that the anime could have been done by said studio, in a similar style to Gurren Lagann. Well, kinda. If they had it wouldn't have been directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai and a lot of the stuff I really liked that they added probably wouldn't have been added. Or maybe it would have, knowing Gainax... oh, wait, the guys who did TTGL are Trigger now, never mind. The revamped character designs are great as well. I definitely prefer Motoi's versions to J.C.
